The Works is proud to announce the opening of a new on premises bouldering wall, City Bloc. City Bloc is owned and run by four of the ex-British climbing team. They have dedicated a lot of time, effort and money into the project and the results are awesome! The wall hosts a variety of features for climbers of all levels, a kids section, competition wall, training board, campus board, traversing wall and a huge barrel wall. The loss of the mini ramps was a sad day for many of you, we know your pain. But we have a plan and we need YOUR help.

On Sunday 21st celebrate the nationwide event Go Skate Day and see if you can manage a full 12 hours of skating from 10 am till 10pm, its like a fun run only skating! Get as many people as you can to sponsor you to skate for the full 12 hours. All money raised from the sponsored skate goes towards The Works Charity and a much needed new miniramp. Entry fee: £10 We want to get as many of you down as we can and give all you lucky people FOOD, MUSIC and COMPS all day! On the 24th May the Etnies Team will be visiting the Works for their Recognition Tour. You'll get to see talent from the likes of Ryan Sheckler, Mikey Taylor and Sean Malto between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Entry is £10 on the door - all day. If you haven't been before make sure you fill in our MEMBERSHIP FORM PLUS, we'll be holding comps and giveaways throughout the day giving away Etnies products to commemorate the day. There's a lot of hype about so get down early to avoid disappointment.
