The Works Academy is Europe's first 'Free Sports' training facility and was set up in direct response to the 'Free Sport' community needing a place that could safely introduce those new to the sports and equip already talented riders and skaters with the skills to compete at the highest level. The courses at The Works Academy are set up to support individual and group needs. Our introductory courses are aimed at learners of all ages to establish the basic skills. Such as: Identifying the potential of obstacles, spatial awareness, lines in the park and how to do basic tricks safely. Film making is an important aspect of development within all 3 sports. So the park has been equipped with industry standard cameras and editing software to ensure that progress is recorded and a variety of skills can be gained within the programmes delivered.
